This blog is, in part, a way to tell a bit of my story.
And this experience truly deserved to be written down.

It was the first time I participated in a Community Day as a speaker, and honestly, it was an enriching experience from the very beginning.

Everything started even before the event itself. When I saw the dates, the first big challenge appeared: committing to work hard to create quality content—something that could genuinely be valuable to other people. That alone became a huge motivation.

Then came another key step: strengthening the idea by finding the right partner. In this case, I was lucky enough to find a true adventure companion: Facundo Creus. Together, we looked for a path where we could learn and enrich the experience from both perspectives.

Facundo is a brilliant person. A great speaker, with an incredible level of technical knowledge, but above all, an amazing human being. He opened the doors of his home so we could work together on this idea. From that point on, everything turned into an adventure: designing the solution, sharing experiences, going back and forth, exploring scenarios, building analogies, and most importantly, telling a story.
Because in the end, technical skills can be learned; what truly matters is the journey and the story you build along the way.
What a legend, Facu. And what a great analogy we built around Formula 1—something I’m deeply passionate about.

Then came the stage of preparing everything for a solid presentation: slides, recorded videos, practicing roles, coordinating who would cover each part. Another great adventure. Booking hotels and flights, and in that final stretch, visiting tech friends, sharing time with their families, and getting ready for what was coming.

Our talk was about Strands, Bedrock, and MCP. A cutting-edge technology stack in AI, and Facundo and I already had experience using it in a recent project, so we were confident that our talk would be able to generate impact.

And then the event started.
Wow.

At that moment, we were standing in front of the audience—and also those watching via streaming—telling a story. What an emotion. Not just from the speaker’s perspective, but because of everything happening around us.

speaker’s perspective, but because of everything happening around us.

On the Keynote, Jason Dunn talk us about the importance of the Communities around the World and the Program AWS Community Builder that he is leading, that was a great inspiration and a huge Challenge to be part of it

Taking part in the AWS Community Day CĂłrdoba was a clear reminder of why community events still matter so much. Not because of logos or slides, but because of the people who show up, share what they know, and learn together.
If there was one thing that truly stood out, it wasn’t a specific service or announcement.
It was the energy.

It was also incredibly rewarding to spend time at the booth with my coworkers (Caylent), many of whom I can now proudly call friends. People with whom we don’t just build systems and projects, but also a genuine friendship—based on respect, trust, and the joy of creating things together.

On top of that, we shared many truly enriching activities and conversations. Conversations that went far beyond the technical side, where experiences, ideas, and different perspectives came together, strengthening bonds that are no longer just professional, but deeply human.

Conversations between sessions. Familiar faces. New ones. Questions that start technical and end up being human. That’s where real learning happens—not only on stage, but in the spaces in between.

It was also nice to see our presence with Caylent and the support for the community and the event, where we were giving the following talks as a team:

  • David Petrocelli & Facundo Creus — Cloud Operations Optimization Agent with Strands, Bedrock, and MCP
  • Lucila Rondina — Women in Hard Mode
  • Pablo Inchausti — Karpenter’s Magic on Amazon EKS
  • David Victoria — Build and Deploy Agents in Minutes with the Strands Agents SDK
  • Vini Ganancio — Transform Customer Calls into Business Intelligence with AI
  • Juan Cavallo — How to Get the Most Out of AWS Lambda (Without Breaking Anything)

Sharing some picturs with Lucila, Juan, Vini, David, and Pablo in action!

The talks reflected something I value deeply: real experience. People sharing what worked, what didn’t, and what they’re still trying to figure out. No perfect speeches or marketing disguised as success stories. Honest stories from people who design, build, and operate systems in the real world.

Community is not a side effect of technology.
It is its foundation.

What more can I say?
This wasn’t just another conference. It was a reminder that learning is collective, growth is shared, and the best systems are built together.

Thank you to everyone who made the AWS Community Day CĂłrdoba possible: organizers, speakers, volunteers, and attendees.

See you at the next one!
